I would strongly recommend this cage for a rabbit! I got this cage for my Netherland dwarf rabbit and it's perfect. There is more than enough space for a large litter box, toys, food, and extra space for him to hop around. Honestly, it's so big that it could house at least 2 dwarf rabbits. The bottom is easy to clean and deep enough to stop almost all of the litter/hay my bunny kicks around from getting on the floor. The cage is very sturdy for the price. In particular, the wooden hutch is pretty solid wood. I've been using this cage for 4 months and my rabbit hasn't chewed the wood at all.I would say that assembly is the biggest con of this cage. It took me 2 afternoons to assemble by myself. I would recommend assembling with 2 people and a power drill to screw together the wooden hutch. I did it with a screwdriver, but it was very, very difficult. Also, the grey pieces on the bottom were difficult to assemble together. I ended up using a mallet to push them into place. If I had to disassemble this cage, I wouldn't try to take apart the plastic bottom (too hard to put back together). This cage is great. If you have tiny lion heads or dwarfs, it would be a cage to house them all the time. Anything bigger than 4 pounds, no. I have a NZ and she is current three months old. She outgrew the cage by the time she was 1.5 months. It now is just her night time sleep space, otherwise she free roams. The rule of thumb is, a bunny should be able to fully hop three times for their enclosure to be suitable. I will be moving my Guinea pigs to this cage as soon as my bun gets a tad bigger and better at the litter box. This cage is perfect size for two Guinea pigs. But not a large rabbit 6-12 pounds. My 11 year old put this together by herself fairly easily. It's a nice upgrade from the rabbits previous cage. Great customer service from the company !The cage is very spacious and our rabbit loves all her hiding places. She has room to run and jump lIt was fairly easy to assemble, however our wooden house looks like someone didn't know how to measure properlyIf the clips on the side weren't there to hold the cage down it would be useless since the wood house doesn't fit properly. Nor does the roof cover completelyBut princess Shelby is happy, so we're fairly happy. This is a great cage for our bunny. She has lots of room and she loves being able to hide. We recommend this cage for anyone with a bunny that needs a little more room.So I bought the one with the hutch and the extention so my setup is about 6ft long and almost 2ft wide. I have the hutch on one end and the extention on the other. I removed the step up area because rabbits eat and poop at the same time so poop went over the edge of the sides.I use the extention as the toilet area and feeding. This gives the whole middle area for hom to play. The hardest part to put together is the hutch. Be sure to have a Phillips screwdriver and a steady pair of hands to help you. I did mine on my own though with some resourcefulness. You'll also want some pliers to twist in the L screws that go on hutch. This is an amazing value and alot of room for my little rabbit to spread out. I highly recommend this product.I bought this item from Amazon it was listed as New but was a used item. If it had been brand new I wouldn’t had a problem. The cage arrived and had Chew marks on it and still had feces and urine in the bottom. It was also missing the clips to hold it together- this issue was an Amazon problem. The cage was a fantastic size and easy to put together. I loved it because it was big enough for my two Guinea pigs. It’s a great cage and a fantastic size like over 5ft long. I had to contact Amazon and had a replacement sent which was with the wooden hutch attachment. I love my new one. Just buyer beware that you need to purchase Brand New Never Used. This looks very sturdy and works well enough for my two guinea pigs. It was very difficult to assemble because the cage wasn't the right size to attach to the hooks in the hutch. The hutch also doesn't fit into opening very well and sometimes blocks the side from opening all the way. Lots of room for your dwarf bunny to hop around and play. My favourite part about it was the wooden rabbit hutch, the wood is pretty thick and very sturdy. Great product. Would definitely recommend.I spent a great deal of time deciding in ordering this cage, then saved my pennies in order to do it.I have mixed feelings. The plastic that is used in the parts construction is brittle and didn't make it through the shipping travels which was hugely disappointing. I ended up not even using the feeding platform because the broken parts were a potential injury concern to my wee bunny. The wood used to create the large burrow at the end of the cage is made from very inexpensive wood, but it came intact at least. The cost of this cage I believe falls from how heavy it is and the cost for shipping it in that regard, because the components themselves aren't even near top shelf quality for what they charge.Ultimately I won't be returning it due to my bunny having needed a larger space and I haven't the heart to make him wait for a replacement, but I've come to decide I will not be venturing forward with any more purchases with this company/brand if this is the quality they provide. For quite a steep price, you would have pretty high expectations, right? Don’t get me wrong, after assembly, this looks quite nice. That being said, key word: “assembly”. Assembling this product is rather difficult and time consuming. I would honestly rather try and assemble an entire IKEA living room set blindfolded, than go through the assembly process again. Our little Nibbles loves her home! This was a great purchase. I struggled slightly putting it together by myself... but I did it! Nothing too major, all the parts were there. Just took a little longer as the instructions weren’t the easiest to follow. Overall I am very happy with this cage and so is my bunny. She is very comfortable in it and it gives her lots of space.
