Exactly as expected, plastic screw covers with a chrome finish, very easy installation: mounting screw goes inside "cup" washer, tighten screw down (do not over torque), cap snaps over the "cup" washer covering the head of the screw. Make sure you hear that snap to know it's installed proper. Felt secure once snapped properly in place; easy to pop off too if you need to get to your screws. Four come in the package and most cosmetic plate frames I have used only allow for two screws so it is nice to have a spare set. I am glad another reviewer mentioned they hold water and rusted his mounting screws; I plan to update my plate screws to stainless steel to avoid this hassle - thanks A. Finnical.
